Is Zenbowl just a speaker?
No. ZenBowl isnât a general Bluetooth speaker.
It comes pre-loaded with eight specific sound-healing frequencies (396â963 Hz) .
Unlike your phone or a regular speaker, which only plays audio through tiny drivers, ZenBowl turns these tones into both sound and gentle vibration in a single object. The touch-and-slide surface, dual modes, and timer are all designed for short resets, meditation and sound baths.
What if I donât know anything about frequencies?
You donât need any technical knowledge to use ZenBowl. The device comes with eight pre-tuned frequencies from 396 Hz to 963 Hz, each designed with a different emotional / sensory quality in mind (for example: more grounding, more heart-opening, more spacious, etc.). Â
You can simply try a few frequencies and notice which ones feel best in your body. Thereâs no ârightâ or âwrongâ choice. Think of the frequencies as different moods you can choose from, and let your body and ears be the guide.
Whatâs the difference between auto mode and manual modeďź
Auto-play mode
Auto-play is for when you want hands-free calm. You pick a frequency, and ZenBowl plays it continuously in the background. You can tap the top surface to switch tracks, and the LEDs show which frequency is active. Â Â
Manual mode
Manual mode is more like playing a traditional singing bowl. You place your fingers on the top surface and gently slide in circles to keep the sound and vibration going. When you lift your hand, the sound pauses. This touch-based control mimics the ârimmingâ technique on a real bowl and can help you focus because your hands and attention are involved in the practice.
Does the device include a timerďź
Yes. ZenBowl has a built-in auto shut-off timer.
You can set it to 15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes, and the bowl will turn itself off automatically at the end of the session. Â
This is especially useful for sleep, longer meditations, or when you donât want to check a clock while youâre resting.
